1. Who we are and the scope of this Policy
RomBuzz is operated by Neptrixx International Company Pvt. Ltd. In this Policy, “RomBuzz,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the RomBuzz service and its operator.
This Policy applies to the RomBuzz mobile application, rombuzz.com, and related RomBuzz services, features, communications, and support channels that link to or reference this Policy.
By using RomBuzz, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Policy. Your use of RomBuzz is also subject to our Terms of Service.
2. Adults only
People under 18 may not create or use a RomBuzz account. If we reasonably believe an account belongs to a person under 18, we may restrict or remove the account and take appropriate safety steps.
If you believe a person under 18 is using RomBuzz, please report the account through the available reporting tools or contact us at legal@neptrixx.com.
3. Information we collect
Account and authentication information
We may collect your email address, account identifiers, authentication information, login method, account status, account creation information, and information necessary to authenticate, secure, and administer your account.
If you choose a third-party sign-in method such as Google or Apple, we may receive information that the provider makes available to us, such as an account identifier, email address, name, or other basic account information. A provider may supply a relay or masked email address instead of your ordinary email address.
Profile and dating information
Depending on what you choose to provide and which features you use, we may process information such as your name, date of birth, age, photos, biography, city or general area, gender, pronouns, sexual orientation, dating preferences, relationship preferences, interests, hobbies, languages, education, occupation, height, lifestyle choices, beliefs, religion, political views, likes, dislikes, and other profile fields or preferences.
Photos, video, audio, and other media
We process media you upload, create, send, or otherwise make available through RomBuzz, which may include profile photos, gallery media, chat images, audio, video, voice introductions, posts, reels, stories, comments with media, MicroBuzz selfies, and other supported user-generated content.
Messages and social interactions
We process information necessary to provide matching, discovery, communication, and social features. This may include likes, skips, matches, Buzz interactions, messages, reactions, read or seen status, typing status, blocks, reports, comments, gifts, call metadata, and other interactions with users or content.
Location information
When you enable location-based features, RomBuzz may process device location, coordinates, city or general-area information, and derived distance information. Location may be used for nearby discovery, distance calculations, MicroBuzz, or other location-aware features.
The precision of the information depends on the feature, your device, and the permissions you grant. You can manage device-level location permission through your operating-system settings, although disabling location may prevent some RomBuzz features from working.
Device permissions
Certain features may request access to your camera, microphone, photo library, media library, location, or notifications. RomBuzz uses a granted permission to provide the feature for which the permission was requested and for related safety, reliability, or support purposes as permitted by law.
Purchases, virtual items, and transaction information
If and where RomBuzz offers paid features, subscriptions, virtual items, BuzzCoins, gifts, or similar functionality, we may process purchase status, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, entitlement information, virtual balances, refund or revocation status, and related accounting or anti-fraud information.
Payment-card details for app-store purchases are generally handled by the applicable payment or app-store provider rather than RomBuzz.
Safety, reporting, moderation, and verification information
If you report a user or content, block someone, contact support, or become involved in a safety or moderation review, we may process the report, reason, description, relevant content or message context, involved account identifiers, timestamps, moderation decisions, appeals, enforcement history, and related evidence reasonably needed to review the matter.
If RomBuzz offers a profile, selfie, age, or identity-verification feature, we may process the information and media you submit for that verification and the resulting verification status. Any materially different verification data practice will be disclosed when required.
Technical, diagnostic, and security information
We may process technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, browser type, network information, IP address, session or authentication events, security events, crash reports, performance information, error diagnostics, and similar information needed to operate and protect the service.
Usage information
We may collect information about how you interact with RomBuzz, such as screens or features used, actions performed, approximate event times, content interactions, and service-performance information.
Support and communications
If you contact us, we may process your contact details, the content of your request, attachments you provide, and information needed to investigate and respond to the matter.
Information from other users
Other users may provide information about you through messages, reports, contact syncing if such a feature is offered, content they submit, or other interactions. We may process that information when reasonably necessary to operate the relevant feature or address a safety, legal, support, or policy issue.
4. Sensitive information
Dating services can involve information that is considered sensitive or specially protected in some jurisdictions. Depending on what you choose to provide and which features you use, this may include sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religious or political views, relationship preferences, precise location, photos, voice, video, and other information that may reveal sensitive aspects of your identity or life.
Please provide sensitive information only when you are comfortable doing so. Where applicable law requires consent or another specific legal basis for processing sensitive information, we will rely on the appropriate basis and provide controls where required.
RomBuzz is not designed as a medical-record or healthcare service. We do not sell consumer health data. If a future feature materially changes how health-related or similarly regulated data is handled, we will provide additional notice as required by law.
5. How we obtain information
We obtain information from several sources, including:
- Directly from you when you register, build a profile, upload content, communicate, or contact us.
- Automatically from your device or use of RomBuzz where permitted.
- From authentication, app-store, payment, communication, hosting, security, analytics, or other service providers.
- From other RomBuzz users through interactions, reports, or content.
- From lawful public or third-party sources when reasonably necessary for fraud, safety, rights protection, or legal compliance.
6. How we use information
We may use information to:
- Create, authenticate, maintain, secure, and manage accounts.
- Provide profiles, discovery, recommendations, matching, chat, calls, media, notifications, social features, and other requested functionality.
- Calculate or display location-based or distance-based experiences.
- Personalize recommendations and organize content or profiles that may be relevant to you.
- Provide customer support and respond to requests.
- Detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to spam, fraud, scams, impersonation, harassment, threats, exploitation, abuse, unauthorized access, and other violations.
- Process reports, blocks, moderation decisions, appeals, and other trust-and-safety functions.
- Process or validate purchases, entitlements, virtual balances, refunds, and revocations where paid functionality is offered.
- Send authentication codes, service notices, safety notices, account messages, and other transactional communications.
- Measure service performance, diagnose errors, maintain reliability, and improve RomBuzz.
- Develop or test new features using appropriately protected information.
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and enforce our Terms or policies.
- Comply with applicable law, lawful requests, and regulatory obligations.
- Protect the rights, property, safety, and security of users, RomBuzz, our operator, or others.
7. Legal bases for processing
The legal basis for processing depends on the information, purpose, and law that applies to you. Where required, our bases may include:
- Contract: processing needed to provide the RomBuzz service you request.
- Consent: processing you agree to, including certain permissions or sensitive-data uses where consent is required.
- Legitimate interests: operating, securing, improving, and protecting RomBuzz and its users where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations: processing necessary to comply with law or valid legal process.
- Vital interests and safety: processing reasonably necessary to protect a person from serious harm where recognized by applicable law.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent as permitted by law. Withdrawal does not make prior lawful processing unlawful and may affect availability of the related feature.
8. What other RomBuzz users can see
Dating and social features are designed to share certain information with other users. Depending on your settings and the feature, other users may see profile information, photos, public or shared content, approximate distance or location-related information, interaction status, or messages and media you send to them.
Use care when choosing what to include in your profile or send to others. A recipient may save, screenshot, record, copy, or redistribute information outside RomBuzz, and RomBuzz cannot control copies created outside the service.
9. How we share information
We may share information in the following circumstances:
With other users
We share information with other users when necessary for the dating, social, messaging, media, call, reporting, or other feature you use.
With service providers
We may use vendors and service providers for functions such as hosting, databases, storage, media processing and delivery, authentication, email, notifications, real-time communications, analytics, diagnostics, security, customer support, and payment or app-store processing. They may process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms where necessary to provide their service.
With app stores, authentication providers, and payment providers
When you use an external login, purchase, subscription, or platform feature, information may be exchanged with the applicable provider as needed to complete or validate the action.
For legal, security, and safety purposes
We may preserve or disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, exploitation, or serious safety threats; enforce our Terms; or protect the rights, property, or safety of RomBuzz, users, or others.
Corporate transactions
Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, insolvency process, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.
With your direction or consent
We may share information when you direct us to do so or provide valid consent for a specific disclosure.
10. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
RomBuzz does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. RomBuzz currently does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising based on activity across unrelated businesses.
If our practices materially change and applicable law creates a right to opt out of a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising, we will update this Policy and provide the required choice mechanism before or when the new practice applies.
11. Cookies, local storage, and similar website technologies
The RomBuzz website may use cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies for sign-in state, security, preferences, functionality, diagnostics, and service performance. Your browser may provide tools to remove or block some of these technologies, but doing so may affect website functionality.
12. Recommendations and automated processing
RomBuzz may use account, profile, preference, location, activity, or interaction information to rank, filter, or recommend profiles and content. Recommendations are intended to help organize the service and do not guarantee compatibility, identity, safety, interest, or any particular outcome.
If applicable law provides rights concerning solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, you may contact us to exercise those rights. Ordinary dating recommendations and content ranking generally do not determine legal rights.
13. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate your account and provide RomBuzz, and for legitimate safety, security, fraud prevention, dispute, accounting, support, and legal purposes.
Retention periods vary by data type, purpose, risk, contractual need, and legal requirement. Information may be kept longer where required by law, where reasonably necessary to preserve evidence of abuse or fraud, or while a legal claim, chargeback, investigation, or dispute is pending.
14. Account deletion and the seven-day deletion hold
You can initiate permanent account deletion through the RomBuzz app. If you no longer have access to the app, see our public Account Deletion & Data Erasure Information page for the external request process.
When an authenticated deletion request is accepted, the account enters an irreversible pending-deletion lifecycle. The user-facing profile is removed from normal RomBuzz experiences and supported user-facing data is deleted, scrubbed, or scheduled for cleanup.
RomBuzz currently maintains the account email in a restricted seven-day deletion hold for deletion processing, account-lifecycle integrity, security, and anti-abuse purposes. This is not a recovery or restoration period. RomBuzz does not provide a flow to restore the deleted account during the hold.
After the hold and required cleanup, the remaining pending-deletion account record is permanently removed. If a technical cleanup step fails, RomBuzz may retain only the limited information needed to retry that cleanup and may postpone the final record deletion until the cleanup succeeds.
15. Information that may remain after account deletion
Account deletion does not necessarily mean that every piece of information can lawfully or technically disappear at the same moment. Limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary for:
- Financial, transaction, accounting, refund, or chargeback records.
- Fraud, spam, abuse, security, and anti-evasion controls.
- Safety and moderation investigations or evidence preservation.
- Legal, regulatory, tax, or recordkeeping obligations.
- Claims, disputes, law-enforcement requests, or legal holds.
Where appropriate, retained transaction or audit records may be pseudonymized or detached from the deleted active account rather than remaining associated with the former public profile.
Backup copies may persist temporarily until normal backup rotation or secure deletion. Deidentified or aggregated information that no longer identifies you may also be retained and used lawfully.
RomBuzz cannot delete independent copies that another user created or retained outside RomBuzz, such as screenshots, downloads, recordings, forwarded messages, or content stored on another person's device.
16. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information. These may include the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Request deletion of personal information, subject to lawful exceptions.
- Request a portable copy of certain information.
- Object to or request restriction of certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
- Appeal certain privacy-request decisions where applicable.
- Complain to an appropriate privacy or data-protection authority.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right that applicable law gives you.
To make a privacy request, contact legal@neptrixx.com and clearly describe the request. Do not send your password, one-time verification code, full payment-card number, or authentication token by email.
17. United States state privacy rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, or opt out of certain regulated processing. The exact rights and exceptions depend on the state and the law that applies.
Where a law permits an authorized agent to submit a request, we may request proof of the agent's authority and may still need to verify the identity of the person whose data is involved.
18. International data transfers
RomBuzz and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from your local law.
Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or additional safeguard for international transfers, we use measures intended to provide the required protection.
19. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Security measures are reviewed and may change as the service, risks, and technology evolve.
No internet service, storage system, or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.
20. Law enforcement, emergencies, and user safety
RomBuzz is not an emergency service. If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
We may preserve or disclose information in response to valid legal process or where permitted by law and reasonably necessary to address fraud, exploitation, threats, imminent harm, child safety, or other serious safety concerns.
21. Third-party services and links
RomBuzz may interact with third-party authentication providers, app stores, payment services, websites, or other external services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies when they act as independent controllers or businesses. RomBuzz is not responsible for the privacy practices of services that we do not control.
22. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in RomBuzz, our practices, applicable law, or safety and operational requirements. When required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
